Hermes Research Bridge

A personal research tool for exchanging genealogy research files through Google Drive.

What this application does

Hermes Research Bridge is a private, single-user application used by its developer for genealogy research. It connects the developer's own research software to Google Drive so that research reports and findings can be exchanged with the developer's AI research assistant in a small set of shared folders: reports go in one direction, documented findings come back the other.

The application uses Google's drive.file permission only. That means it can access only the files and folders it creates itself, or files the user explicitly opens with it. It cannot browse, search, or read the rest of the user's Google Drive.

Who uses it

This is not a public service. It has no sign-up, no accounts for other people, and no advertising. It is operated by one individual for his own family-history research.

Privacy

How the application accesses, uses, and stores Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy.
